Scott, I am so glad you are growing. I have prayed that the Lord will help you grow in the areas you mentioned and others as well for the last year. If I can be of any help please let me know! God Bless! By the way, I really enjoy reading your blog. Thank you for sharing!

Great memories. Some made me laugh and some mad me cry. BTW it was a '65 Chevy truck. And he was not trying to 'find' second gear but to just get it into second gear. He and I were the only two that could drive the silly truck because of the problem with the second gear.
Our second date was a picnic and a visit to the zoo. He told me later he wore the overalls to see what my reaction would be. After we were married I finally told him that I had been slightly mortified when he showed up in overalls. After we married I had my own pair. They are comfortable.
Do you remember when he was JC Penney in a Cub Scout skit?

This is good stuff dude. This is what "legacy" is made up of. Keep track of these, and who God is making you to be - and remember you will be leaving a legacy too with those you'll be interacting with... For instance, I remember YOU wearing overalls to work at FRBC, and that geeky button-up shirt with the "power symbol" on it...

Bravo, Scott. I've found in the past few years that letting go and moving on, wiser and better for my mistakes, can only happen as I understand how Christ sees me. AND as I see myself in that identity, it becomes easier to live that identity.

Part of my process, beyond the four temperaments or even the Myers-Briggs type, the Grip-Birkman "Leadership Grip" really helped me understand my personality. My supervisor is a coach of the system and he helped me to understand myself and how I worked within the team of individuals I worked with. It was so healing for me and helped me to know how to be more confident in myself and who I was becoming. The test specifically gauges usual behavior, underlying needs, stress behavior, and interests. The version we used also showed organizational focus, but I don't remember if that is in all of them.

Obviously, to put in a plug like this, I really think it's helpful. Of course, good, old-fashioned counseling has also helped. :-)
