Scott,

Very cool to read other people's account of these things! It is also great to see you enjoying running so much. We really need to get together and train sometime since we are so close.

I wanted to comment on your recent post too but I don't want to be a blog stalker ... But awesome job on the 10k! But I really like this post too... When I was in seminary I had a similar struggle with wanting my life to matter, my problem however was that I was trying in my own effort to make that happen! It wasn't until I really realized And surrendered to the fact that the only way for my life to really " matter" was to get plugged into God's plan and not my own whatever that may be no matter how significant or insignificant it may seem! I don't know what you are up to these days but I hope that God has given you the direction you were seeking! Many blessings!

Hey Scott-

I'm on the marketing team for the Summit and it's so great to read posts like yours. It's a reminder to me the Summit is more than just two days in August; the Summit is about an ongoing push and pull of what each person takes away and implements into his/her life.

I especially love your 2nd 'take-away' with the emphasis on paying attention to those on the fringe. As Dave Gibbons said, "the truth is that loving our neighbor is not just a cross-cultural experience but an experience of the cross".

Thanks for sharing what you experienced.

peace,
hanna

I agree Scott about the "post mission trip depression." And memories do fade - but every now and then I get a glimpse of the memories - last sunday at my church we sang a song that I have not heard in a long time. It was a song that we sang on a mission trip to Bolivia that I took in high school. For a single moment I was able to close my eyes and think back about that time - and remember. And it was a great time of remembrance! I hope you're having a great time - and that even though the valley is around the corner once you return - I pray that it does give you perspective as you wade through the "bogs of life."

Due to copyright issues, only those translations in the public domain can be used with the verse bubble. However, if you only want the link back to YouVersion, you can use any of the translations YouVersion has rights for.

If you have suggestions or problems, you can post those at http://getsatisfaction.com/youversion/products/youversion_wordpress_plugin.

Hey there

I'm using your plugin on a new blog of mine, and all in all it works sweet. However I'd rather it showed the verse inline - can I do this? I really don't want a popup ... I want the verse inline with maybe a tag line below saying "scripture provided by YouVersion"

Thanks
K.

Thanks for the Workpress plugin, I'm diggin it.

I'm having a problem with the version list. After hitting the Update YouVersion Options button on the plugin admin page, the Bible Version selection list produces a very small list of versions. I think the list was much more extensive before I press the button. My guess is that you are using a different/ hard coded list in there somewhere that it switches to after updating the options.
